On Dub Partners, you can offer different incentives for your partners to incentivize them to create high quality content to spread the word about your product:
Reward type | Description |
---|---|
Click-based (pay-per-click) | Rewarding partners for driving clicks to your product – similar to how Google Ads' pay-per-click works. |
Lead-based (pay-per-lead) | A more effective alternative to pay-per-click, where you reward partners for leads generated (e.g. demo requests, free trial signups, etc.) |
Sale-based (pay-per-sale) | This is the most common reward type, where you reward partners for driving sales to your product either via a rev-share or fixed-price commission. |
During the program onboarding flow, you'll be asked to create a program-wide reward that will be automatically applied to all new partners who join your program.
This initial reward will be either a lead or sale-based reward by default, but you can customize the reward terms accordingly.
Program-wide rewards
After initial onboarding, you can create program-wide rewards for clicks, leads, or sales, depending on how you initially set up the program. These rewards will be made available to all partners who join your program.

Click reward model
- Flat: Partners receive a flat fee for each click, e.g. $2
Lead reward model
- Flat: Partners receive a flat fee for each lead, e.g. $50
Sale reward behavior
- One-off: Partners only receive reward for the first sale
- Recurring: Partners receive rewards for each subscription payment – for a limited time (e.g. 12 months) or for the customer's lifetime
Sale reward model
- Percentage: Partners receive a percentage of sales (AKA rev-share), e.g. 30%.
- Flat: Partners receive a flat fee for each sale, e.g. $50.
Non-eligible partners
In some scenarios, you may not want some partners to earn all rewards, but still have access to other rewards and discounts. This could be useful for:
- Lead-only partners who earn on trials but not on sales
- Accelerators/VC perks (e.g. YC deals, Mercury perks) that give a discount to users but are not eligible for commission
During default reward creation, add those specific partners to the non-eligible section:

Additional rewards
With Dub Partners, you can also create additional rewards for specific groups of affiliates.
This is useful for:
- Negotiating higher reward rates with larger influencers/content creators (e.g. 40% of each sale instead of the usual 30%)
- Creating multiple reward "tiers" that partners can graduate into when surpassing certain revenue thresholds. For example:
- $5K or more per month → 30% of sales
- $10K or more per month → 40% of sales
- $20K or more per month → 50% of sales
You can also create lead-based and click-based rewards to further incentivize partners to create high quality content that drive traffic to your brand.
How to create an additional reward
To create a new reward for specific partners, go to your program's Rewards tab and click on Create reward in the Additional Rewards group.

Select the reward type you want to create. This will open up the reward creation flow, which you can select if you want the reward to be applied to specific partners in your program:

For sale rewards, you can also configure the Reward behavior and Reward model as discussed above:

Once you've selected the correct reward configuration, go ahead and click Create reward and the reward will be added to your program!
Updating partner rewards
You can update a partner's reward at any time. When this happens
- Historical commissions won't be updated
- The reward configuration for a partner-customer pair will remain the same. E.g., if a partner used to be on a one-time reward and was switched to recurring rewards, all subsequent subscription renewals from their past referrals won't be eligible for recurring rewards.
